Yin and Yang in Business

After months of creative block and not being able to see ahead of me…

I finally broke through BY REDESIGNING MY SITE, all by myself…And in the process, gained so much clarity about my 5-year vision, 10 year vision, and the steps I need to take in the next few months!😮

Redoing my site all on my own didn’t make sense to me when I thought of it last weekend. “I’m not a designer, I hate this doing this shit,” and 10million other reasons ran through my head.

But… it felt right. And so I did it.

3 days later, this was the result:

Just another reminder that no matter whether you’re starting in biz or growing one, there’s always a place for strong intuition…. but IT’S USELESS WITHOUT ACTION.

In my work, I’ve seen both extreme ‘femininity/right-brain thinking’ and extreme ‘masculinity/left-brain thinking’ in business.

We go through life and business working on strengthening a particular side we feel is ‘lacking’, and end up neglecting the other.

This leads to being stuck or burning out.

Or, we go chasing the illusion that there should be a balance between the two.

This leads to frustration.

I offer a different perspective: It’s not a balance at all, like the traditional image of a balanced scale.

I see it more like YIN and YANG.

It’s a cycle. It’s a wave. And they overlap as it crosses over.

Intuition leads to action, and action gives your mind and body better “data” to inform your intuition, which again leads to action, etc. You get where I’m going with this.

And so by going with that cycle, going with that flow, you don’t burn out, you don’t stay stuck. You’re always in motion whether externally or internally.

It would be a very interesting experiment to build my business this way.

Intuition and action is like YIN and YANG; it’s a cycle, an overlapping wave. Following your gut through to action leads to staying in flow without burning out.

I built my last company to $6 figures by pure strategy, logic, and action. Like we’re taught to. I burnt out and lost my passion for it even if I eventually worked a day a week.

I’ve never gotten as much clarity as I do now, paired with the willingness to let it all go anyway, and see what comes up next for me. There’s power in wanting something, and knowing with absolute certainty – my life is frickin amazing whether or not I get it…

This feels more expansive, more freeing, and easier. Regardless of what happens, I see my path so easily. It’s a little frightening and exciting at the same time.

The burning, energetic passion I used to have when I was younger has now mellowed into a more loving, creative curiosity. And I’m curious to see where this takes my life and business. 😍
